The Telegram messenger is testing a push notification in which users are offered to take advantage of the “last opportunity” to subscribe Telegram Premium for one or two years, the telegram channel “Durov Code” reports.
The text of the test notification is: “Last day. Today is the last opportunity for prepayment of Telegram Premium for 1-2 years. According to the "Koda Durov", the mailing appears in the chat window. The publication confirms the authenticity of the notification in this form. Testing takes place in closed mode.
The reason for the appearance of such notification is not yet known. The Durov Code does not specify whether the messenger itself plans to limit the sale of long-term subscriptions, or the notification is being developed in case of external restrictions by the authorities.
Earlier, in mid-February, the Telegram channel Baza reported on the possible complete blocking of Telegram in Russia from April 1. on March 11, State Duma deputy Andrei Svintsov said that the messenger will not work even when using means of bypassing locks, since Roskomnadzor has the necessary technical capabilities.
