The race between developers and attackers has noticeably accelerated, so Microsoft intends to include more security fixes in the monthly Windows 11 updates. The company has begun to increasingly use artificial intelligence to find and correct vulnerabilities in the early stages.

Microsoft expects that the amount of fixes in each Patch Tuesday release will gradually grow. Algorithms will look for suspicious areas of the code, possible errors and ways of attack even before the problem is used by hackers.

Change is due to the fact that AI accelerates the work of both sides. Attackers use models to analyze vulnerabilities and create working attacks, and experts find dangerous errors faster and often report high-risk problems.

The company also revises the lifecycle of secure Windows development. Engineers will take into account in advance attacks, reinforced AI, and scenarios in which algorithms help to bypass protection or quickly create exploits.

To prepare updates, Microsoft develops special tools and agent systems that can generate and verify fixes. At the same time, developers will continue to analyze the problems found, check the code and decide which changes can be safely included in the update.

Microsoft expects to speed up the release of fixes without reducing their quality. For users, the changes are likely to mean larger Patch Tuesday packages that will cover more vulnerabilities in one cycle.
