Companies will be able to test the readiness of cybersecurity specialists not on training tests, but on investigations close to real attacks. Positive Education and Standoff 365 have launched a joint program for the practical training of the IC teams, Positive Technologies reported.

The program is designed for specialists who are engaged in the investigation of incidents, analysis of security events and work with the corporate protection infrastructure. Participants will be asked to disassemble the simulated incidents built on current tactics of intruders. Such a format should help companies understand how internal teams are ready for complex attacks, and what skills require reinforcement.

The training was divided into two stages. During the first three months, participants will independently work with cases on the PT EdTechLab platform. Experts will work out the analysis of events and the investigation of incidents on synthetic data in a controlled environment, as well as get acquainted with the products of Positive Technologies, which are used in corporate monitoring and response centers.

The second part of the program is devoted to the scenarios of attacks with cyber-battyering Standoff. Participants will study logs and artifacts, restore chains of actions of intruders and analyze the methods that attackers use when driving inside the infrastructure. The company believes that such an experience is difficult to obtain in everyday work, where incidents are often limited to individual fragments of the attack.

According to the results of training, the heads of information security will be able to assess the level of training of employees and understand what competencies should develop further. Participants will also gain practical experience with Positive Technologies tools, which are used to monitor, analyze and investigate information security incidents.
