Infrawatch has discovered a market where mobile networks become a commodity for those who want to hide their footprints.

In early 2026, the Inflawatch team studied the market “SIM farm as services” and discovered large physical infrastructure. It is not about virtual nodes, but about racks with real smartphones and 4G/5G-modes connected to mobile networks in different countries.

Experts have found 87 open ProxySmart control panels in 17 countries. They are associated with at least 24 commercial proxy providers and 35 mobile operators. The total network includes at least 94 physical sites in North America, Europe and South America. In the United States, such farms were discovered immediately in 19 states.

SIM farms are used for sale mobile proxies. Such traffic is more difficult to block because mobile operators often issue one IP address to several customers at once, and when reconnected, the address can change quickly. As a result, such infrastructure is suitable for circumventing restrictions, mass registration of accounts and automating actions in social networks.

ProxySmart, according to Infrawatch, has become a common platform for many of these operators. The system allows you to control devices, change IP addresses, connect customers, set tariffs and accept payments. Thanks to the finished set of tools, the launch of the SIM-farm ceases to be a complex engineering task and turns into commercial service.

A separate alarm is a weak customer check. According to Infrawatch, many providers almost do not use KYC procedures, and some directly advertise access without identity verification. A number of services are focused on foreign audiences and promotes American mobile proxies as a way to circumvent regional restrictions.

ProxySmart technical functions further complicate protection against abuse. The platform supports remote device management, fast IP change, and network fingerprint substitution so that traffic simulates connections from different operating systems. Inside the same farm, providers often use SIM cards of multiple telecom operators, expanding the pool of addresses and reducing the risk of locks.

Such schemes have already come to the attention of law enforcement agencies. In 2025, the telecom infrastructure with hundreds of SIM-servers and 100 thousand SIM-cards was eliminated in New York, and in Latvia, with the support of Europol, 1200 SIM-boxes and 40 thousand active SIM cards were seized.

Infrawatch believes that such platforms reduce the entry threshold for mobile proxies operators and help to scale abuse. The combination of real mobile networks, rapid IP change and weak customer control makes SIM a convenient infrastructure for fraud, bots and bypassing security systems.
