Missing businesswoman Valeria Fedyakina, known as Bitmama, was detained in Moscow on September 15 because of a deal worth 6.7 billion rubles, which she took from one of her friends, promising to return the money to him with a 1% bonus.

Later, the man realized that he had been deceived and turned to law enforcement agencies. Fedyakina is awaiting trial, she faces up to 10 years in prison under the article on fraud. Despite the fact that the girl is six months pregnant, she was placed under arrest in a pre-trial detention center. One of the reasons for detention is a residence permit in the UAE, as the girl can hide from the investigation.

Fedyakina became known for her work with cryptocurrency platforms, offering clients asset conversion services. This type of activity has become particularly popular due to anti-Russian sanctions, as it has become increasingly difficult to transfer money abroad through Russian banks. The businesswoman's daily turnover was estimated at tens of millions of dollars.

Bitmama claimed to have well-established connections with shadow exchanges. The girl held personal meetings with major players in the market, participated in various conferences, where she got acquainted with crypto enthusiasts, thereby ingratiating herself with them. Bitmama promised clients favorable exchange conditions and even additional profit.

In addition, Valeria promoted her own crypto project among rich investors, attracting funding. However, despite her extensive connections with officials and businessmen, Fedyakina's business turned out to be an ordinary financial pyramid scheme. The businesswoman suddenly disappeared, fleeing with client funds. Fedyakina is accused of stealing $150 million from shadow exchanges.
