89 million Steam user records with 2FA codes are for sale on the dark web
A hacker using the nickname Machine1337 has put a data array containing 89 million Steam user records up for sale.— The dump contained SMS messages with one-time codes for Steam, as well as the phone numbers of their recipients.
Machine1337 (aka EnergyWeaponsUser) is selling the dump for $5,000, but has made 3,000 records publicly available as a sample.
Researchers suspect this may be related to the Twilio compromise.
