A suspected cyber-murder may have exposed the data of 700 million Pinduoduo users, but the company has yet to respond.
🗞 The cybercriminal gang Babuk, behind the alleged ransomware attack, has listed Chinese online retailer Pinduoduo as a victim on its dark web leak site.

The platform is the largest product of Shanghai-based PDD Holdings, which also owns popular e-commerce marketplace Temu.

According to the hackers, the attackers have 892 GB of data containing details of almost 700 million people. The stolen data allegedly includes:

Customer names

Phone numbers

Addresses

Order IDs

Items purchased

Prices

Time of purchase

Exposing such data could be costly for users, as it is a real treasure trove for cybercriminals. They can use detailed information about users’ purchases to create convincing phishing attacks.
