Apple is preparing a serious update Siri, which should change the usual way of communicating with the voice assistant. The company is testing a function that allows you to process several commands in one query at once - a step that can bring Siri closer to the capabilities of modern AI assistants.

According to the data Bloomberg, the new feature will appear in iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27. These systems are expected to be released before the end of the year. Sources claim that Siri will be able to understand complex sequential queries without the need for re-treatment, which will simplify interaction with devices.

The development is taking place against the background of Apple’s attempts to catch up with competitors in the field of artificial intelligence. The previous introduction of Apple Intelligence in 2024 did not arouse a noticeable interest [to verify the fact], and the company is now betting on a deeper reworking of the assistant. The updated version of Siri is scheduled to be presented at the WWDC conference, which starts on June 8.

The new Siri may be based on Google’s Gemini model. Earlier it was reported that Apple is considering the integration of third-party AI solutions and will not be limited to the current partnership with ChatGPT. This approach should expand the functionality of the assistant and increase its competitiveness.

In parallel, the company is working on the transformation of Siri in a full-fledged chatbot with artificial intelligence. The internal project was code-named Campos. The new assistant is planning to better integrate into the Apple ecosystem – from the iPhone to Mac – with the possible replacement of the current Siri interface.

Apple has not yet commented on the development. However, the scale of the changes indicates an attempt to recycle a key product that has long lagged behind the analogues in the market.
